I was browsing and found a number of websites that had some free documentaries. I'm sure that some of the people here would find something that will interest them, considering the wide variety of subjects:

When I am wandering around Mouse Land, and a reference to a video or book is made, I check to see if it is available on UseNet.
It costs me 20 bucks per month.

Youtube has some interesting documentaries. They may not be the most recent productions, but often there are a few to choose from on any subject.

There's good stuff on Youtube. You just have to be a bit careful that you don't wander into some of the propaganda videos from various groups, some of which are very professionally produced.
