Does anyone know of an online discount broker in Canada that allows people to trade on exchanges outside of the US and Canada?

interactive brokers & hsbc online. Interactive's list is restricted to the most liquid stocks on world's leading exchanges. HSBC may be limited to london & hong kong in addition to all of north america - you'd have to ask.

the fact is that all the big onliners can buy stocks for you on major global exchanges already. But. One has to phone the order in and one has to pay the commish, around $150 for europe but i believe hong kong market is cheaper.

td is working on global online investing. Coming anytime from this summer to never, according to who you ask. They'll be using the model developed by their UK office.

i bet the smaller onliners also have networks through which they can execute an overseas order, if you wish.
