Not that it means a heck of a lot, but just for interest sake, here are some one year returns, as of August 31, for some mainly index funds that I have been tracking on my Globeinvestor Fundlist:

Claymore BRIC ETF: +14.28%
Claymore Broad Emerging Markets ETF: +14.03%
Claymore S&P/TSX Cdn. Dividend ETF: +16.18%
Claymore Global Real Estate ETF: +12.85%
Claymore Global Mining ETF: +19.01%

iShares CDN Materials Sector Index ETF: +34.47%
iShares CDN Completion Index ETF: +25.82%
iShares CDN Corporate Bond Index ETF: +12.42%
iShares CDN Growth Index ETF: +14.31%
iShares CDN Real Return Bond ETF: +11.93%
iShares CDN REIT Sector Index ETF: +36.34%
iShares CDN SmallCap Index ETF: +33.97%

Mackenzie Cundill Recovery Fund: +12.10%

PH&N Canadian Income Fund D: +19.79%
PH&N High Yield Bond Fund D: +11.60%

RBC O'Shaughnessy All Canadian Equity Fund: +21.34%
RBC O'Shaughnessy U.S. Value Fund: +10.16%

And, my favourite--the RBC Global Precious Metals Fund D::cool:
30 Day: +14.89%, 3 Month: +14.43%, 6 Month: +28.63%, 1 Year: +63.03%!!

With the exception of their international ETF's, NO Claymore or iShares ETF's are underwater over the past 12 months!!!:cool:

You could have used a dart board and still made money!!!:cool:

Just to clarify, here are the Claymore and iShares ETF's which have had one year negative returns as of August 31:

Claymore Equal Wght Banc & Lifeco ETF: -1.56%
Claymore International Index ETF: -9.95%:(
Claymore S&P Global Water ETF: -0.73%

iShares CDN Financial Sector Index ETF: -0.32%
iShares CDN MSCI EAFE Index ETF: -1.72%
IShares CDN MSCI World Index ETF: -1.92%

All other Claymore and iShares ETF's, that have been in existence for at least a year, have experienced positive one year returns.:cool:
