I noticed that on occasion dividends that are listed in my portfolio IE: QSR as an example are showing as slightly lower than the actual dividend paid by my broker. Is this likely due to the date it is paid? I go by what the actual payment is in my broker account and correct it to that. I haven't noticed it on any other holding. May have something to do with the exchange rate from US to Cdn dollars?

Two situations I can think of ... the first is as you say, currency exchange. Have a USD dividend paying stock in a CAD account then likely the broker automatically exchanges the cash to keep CAD only in the account. The USD - CAD rate is big at the moment so it likely overwhelms the broker's likely expensive currency exchange rate.

The second is where the underlying company provides some sort of bonus. I'd have to lookup which stock but I have at least one where the cash paid is 1% higher than the published dividend - even though it's a CAD payment into a CAD account.

Cheers
