Hello,

I have owned a small 2 unit rental property for 11 years now. From a tenant stand point things have been good. Aside from the tax advantages, equity growth we net $500.00 a month from it. Would for example selling the property and investing 30K in a REIT (considering market fluctuations) yeild us more than approx 6K net per year that we currently get based on avg REIT retuen data? It is not a lot in rental income, but mixed with accumilated equity over the years I can't complain. Now mind you I am new to REITs and am still researching.

Thanks.

No. If you have an investment that is yielding 20% on equity, hold on to it.
