Anyone else is having some real issues with Questrade and their ECN fees?
Literally, my average trade comes out to about 15 bucks because of these fees. :cower:

I'm gonna go to TD, but just wanted to vent a little...

Do you do market trades or limit trades?

Limit purchases under the asking price, and limit sells over the bid price do not 'remove liquidity', so they shouldn't result in ECN fees.

I always do limit trades... Sometimes at the bid, because the stocks I am looking at, getting an order filled under the bid price is next to impossible...

Anyways, it's probably my fault for looking at very illiquid stocks, but that's the kind of trades I go for... I have another account at Scotia and I'm not too in love with them either, but at least all trades only cost 9.99$...

Lately, I've been over quite ridiculously over paying at questrade and it's driving me nuts!!! :neglected:

You could try CIBC IE, they only charge $6.95 per trade.
Takes several seconds for each trade to go through though, seems like they have to approve each trade manually, which can be a little annoying, (not sure if there's a way around that, margin account maybe, have not looked into it yet).
