Part on my financial plan includes a Private Family Foundation in order to ensure some of my core values are passed on at least a few generations.

Like many decisions (I am a male) this certainly has a selfish aspect or two.... influence in perpetuity, family name, keeping my kids and grandkids close at least once/year, etc

This is a huge aspect of the Legacy part of my financial plan.

Does anyone have any experience in this?
