I don't get why the OP wants to do research on companies when all he is going to do is day trade. You trade a 'stock'. You do not own a 'company'.
Trading on 'news' requires you to be able to QUICKLY evaluate whether the news is good or bad and just HOW good/bad. Do you know how to do that?
