Very simply, is there some way to profit off the U.S. currency right now? For example, if you're in Canada, isn't it wise to maybe sell things on eBay right now for U.S. dollars and get paid in U.S. currency in order to take advantage of the exchange. Or perhaps If someone had a property in the U.S. if may be advantageous to sell now to get the extra premium on the sale because of the exchange. Any thoughts or unconventional ideas on this?

Sure. You can do a cross-border arbitrage in physical goods. There are many things that are now cheaper in Canada than in the US. You could take one of these things ... like a car ... and sell it in the US. The Canadian pricing is locked into an "old" price in CAD which is now comparatively much cheaper than the same thing being sold in the US.

This could be made into an automated system. You could call it Canuck Shopper. Let the Americans acquire goods in Canada, and then provide a pickup point that they can drive across the border to retrieve the goods.

If you believe the US dollar will continue to be strong, you could also invest in the USD and just hold the currency. That's currency speculation.

Yes, work in the US is a great plan in the short-term. But you can do this remotely from Canada too without even leaving your home.

Try to get consulting gigs and small contracts. Simply under-bid your American competitors to grab the business.

Pretty much any work or service you can do, now you can under-bid Americans
