I am in process of rebalancing my RRSP potfolio, I have around 20% cash which I would like to invest in a fixed income, should I invest the 20% in XBB (ETF bond)? Or can REITs be considered as fixed income asset?
Your feedbacks are realy apreciated.
REITs are equity but the income can be reasonably reliable if you have good and diverse tenants. Also consider how long term the leases are. It is like being a landlord. Do landlords have fixed income?
