Just wondering... how have you (dividend guys) faired against the index this year? How many dividends stocks, and what percentage of them make up your entire portfolio?

Thanks!

How many dividends stocks
23 Canadian; a mixture of common shares, preferred shares, REITs and income trusts.

what percentage of them make up your entire portfolio?

What makes up the rest of your portfolio? How has that fared against the index?
Predominantly nominal bonds followed by US stocks and a single real return bond.

I have no idea how my fixed income investments have fared against the appropriate index. The US stocks have lagged the S&P 500. I don't bother to benchmark segments of my portfolio against indexes. I'm much more interested in how the total portfolio performs against an investable benchmark such as those described here

It's been a good year so far. Quite a relief after 2008.

* Canadian dividend stocks 38.1%
* US dividend stocks 18.3%
* Total 30.3% in Cdn$

~60 stocks. A lot of tiny positions inside RRSP.

About 70% in dividend stocks. 20% in cash. Rest in ETFs and some old mutual funds.
